Some winter images

I spent a day last weekend at the London Wetland Centre. It was very cold, and so some of the water was frozen over. As I walked past the pools just outside the visitor centre, I spotted 4 Coots on the ice on one of them. They formed two pairs, and when one ventured too near the other, they started fighting in a small patch of unfrozen water.

This winter I've been wanting to get some images of Siskin. They have always proved difficult for me in the past due to their habit of always staying at the very tops of trees, so I was pleased to find some which were a little lower.

I was also pleased to capture these images of a bathing Lesser Black-backed GUll.

Thanks for reading
